Hinch & Liu is a British luxury jewellery brand specialising in lab-grown diamonds and fine metals. Driven by a belief that diamonds shouldn’t cost the earth, we offer ethically sourced, sustainable, and accessible luxury without compromise. Our diamonds are chemically and optically identical to mined stones, but more ethical and affordable. We work exclusively with top-grade, colourless, eye-clean stones, triple-verified by IGI or GIA, our suppliers, and in-house diamond expert, Danny Liu. From classic 18k and 14k gold to innovative vermeil and sterling silver, we redefine how diamonds are worn — making luxury more versatile and attainable. Our designs are crafted to move effortlessly from day to evening, blending timeless style with modern detail.

the founders
Alex Hinchliffe and Danny Liu share a lifelong passion for gemstones and fine jewellery. From an early age, Alex created his first lab-grown ruby whilst still in school. Danny, equally captivated, took his interest further by earning the prestigious Diamond Diploma from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, qualifying as a certified Diamond Grader.
What sets Hinch & Liu apart is their hands-on approach: Alex and Danny have spent years travelling the world, sourcing gemstones directly from their countries of origin and designing bespoke jewellery pieces for themselves and others to wear and enjoy. This deep involvement at every stage — from selection of materials at the source to final design — ensures that each piece carries a personal touch and a story worth telling.
Together, their complementary skills and shared vision have given rise to Hinch & Liu, one of the UK’s most exciting new luxury diamond jewellery brands — built on authenticity, craftsmanship, and a direct connection to the world's finest diamonds.
